As a parent, ensuring that our children are given the best options to achieve in their learning is important to us.

Reading and writing are powerful tools for learning. At Shamrock Tutoring, we use a guaranteed programme, specifically designed for your child to improve reading skills, and supported with writing and spelling activities. Our aim is to help our students become more competent and confident in Reading, Writing and Spelling.

Children in the programme have made big improvements in reading, comprehension and attitude to reading. Self-esteem grows when your child knows they are improving and this increased self-confidence is noticed in their achievement in other subjects and general attitude.

Our Unique Child-friendly Fun Learning Environment and is student-centred and allows everyone to work at their own pace and is flexible enough to allow all students to learn and grow whatever their level of knowledge to begin with.

Shamrock Tutoring began in 2008 when Cath Holcroft saw an opportunity to focus specifically on Reading Tuition.  Cath has a passion for reading and believes that Reading and Writing are powerful tools for learning.

"Knowledge is power", Cath says, "Reading is the most important skill we can learn - in Primary and Intermediate School, at Secondary School, Tertiary learning, and even in day-to-day activities, such as reading and completing forms to reading the newspaper.

Cath has set up her business at home and is pleased to be able to spend more time with her own three children.

2010 is a very exciting year as, due to demand, Cath is operating from a second location in Hillcrest once a week.  Cath also provides hints and tips for parents - another way to help and support your children through their learning.
