New NZ School Curriculum:

I have received many enquiries from concerned parents wanting to assist their child's learning to ensure they are doing the best they can for them.  Here are the following beliefs that my reading programme is based on:

   Reading Programmes should be child-centred

Reading for meaning is most important

   Literacy learning must be worthwhile

Reading and Writing are powerful tools for learning

Reading and Writing flourish in a supportive environment

The key to reading fluency and good comprehension at their age-appropriate level is practice, practice, practice.  Struggling readers need more reading practice that other children and SHAMROCK TUTORING provides lots of opportunities for reading in a supported environment.  Working together with home and school is immensely beneficial to your child's success.

I am happy to discuss this or any other concerns with you.  Please feel free to call me at anytime.

Cath
